Costa Pedregal, Casa Serenidad, East Cape,
Supplements: Open Plan Living Area Reach Casa Serenidad through an impressive gazebo walkway that meanders through mature, attractive planting. Enter the property and you are welcomed into a spacious foyer / kitchen / living room / dining room with an expansive view of the Sea of Cortez. This space utilizes the open entertaining concept and a well-equipped kitchen and large panty with top of the line appliances. All the rooms are designed to take advantage of the natural airflow. The house is constructed with high ceilings and three rooms have even higher ceilings with special side windows to further support this airflow. Throughout the house all the wood is beautifully crafted custom Mexican Cedar. The floors are polished travertine tile. The counters in the kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful varieties of granite, travertine, and marble. All four showers have travertine walls & floors. The architecture, the woodwork, and the use of the local natural stone through the house combine contemporary elegance with Mexican culture. The Master Bedroom is on the main floor and is light and airy with windows on all 4 walls (yet is still private), a great ocean view, and a separate patio for outdoor lounging.3The Master Bathroom has virtually a whole wall of glass looking out to an enclosed garden / atrium (yet again tastefully private). The bathroom has two sinks and its own air conditioner. The Master Closet is huge with extra storage. Guest Suite/2nd Bedroom has its own gardened and screened entrance with access to the pool and sauna. The main floor / ocean view guest bedroom has an ensuite bathroom (with double sinks) and a separate garden patio. Third Bedroom - On the second floor is the upstairs ocean view guest bedroom again with an ensuite bathroom (with double sinks) and a separate patio providing awesome views to the sea. Fourth Bedroom/Gym - On the poolside of the house, there is another huge bedroom on the main floor with an adjoining bathroom that has an outdoor shower. This room is currently set up as large gym (full Olympic weight bench/squat rack, complete set of dumbbells, treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, roman chair, heavy weight punching bag, and plenty space for yoga and stretching). Roof Terrace - Accessible from the upstairs guest room as well as from a separate stairway by the kitchen / BBQ area, the roof top offers amazing views. There is a private lounging deck and then possibly the best 'room' of the house: An outdoor dining area / sitting area with built-in seating. Watch the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez or the sunsets over the mountains to the rear. TV Room - There is a separate TV room that opens out to the kitchen with double doors. The room has beautiful brick dome and gas fireplace. Office - off the kitchen is a spacious office, currently set up with two workspaces. The office opens out to the sea side patio / firepit. Could serve as guest bedrooms. Sauna Room - if you're looking for total relaxation, step into the sauna room... Steps away from the pool so that you can have a refreshing 'cool off' and go back into the sauna for more! Outdoor Space The ocean side fire pit area has built in seating and is set back to limit the impact of the North wind and is a great place to enjoy the morning breakfast while watching the sunrise, especially in the cooler months when the fire helps with the morning chill. There is a large pool with waterfall, swim jet and hot tub attached. The pool has built in benches, a wading deck, and built-in umbrella holders (for those seeking shady respite from the sun). There is a patio / pool side bar and sink area. This is just one of the many beautiful areas on the grounds but it is one of the best! Another wonderful 'room' in this house is the poolside dining area with a gas fireplace. It is a great place to have dinner and watch the sunset with the pool in front (and a nice fire behind). Tucked away in the corner of the property are raised garden beds for growing your own vegetables. Outdoor Workshop/Studio Space - Beyond the pool is a serene pottery area with a Skutt 1227 Kiln. This area is secluded from the world but open to the gardens. Listening to the gentle trickle of the pool waterfall, while in your own world.... This might be the definition of Zen. Can be adapted to any type of studio, outdoor office or a workshop. All the outdoor patios are floored with tumbled travertine tile (cool on the feet in the hot sun) and the pool and hot tub are edged with travertine slab. The outdoor wall sconces are local onyx stone carvings. Large Garage With a house like this, you must have a garage with plenty of storage space and potentially a workshop. The garage currently stores 2 cars, a 24' boat, countless toys (mountain bikes, StandUpPaddle boards, kayaks SCUBA gear, and more. Additional upgraded features include: " 24 solar panels tied in to CFE, producing almost 12,000 kw per year. Because of the credit from the electric company from these panels, the current owner pays next to nothing each billing cycle. " Air conditioning throughout the house, ten in total, ranging from 3 to 1.5 ton units. " LED lighting throughout the house. " A new whole house 22KW Generac Generator with auto start and auto shut down. " Four 5,000 Liter tanks cisterns supplying two 10,000 Liters water systems: One for irrigation, the other for the house, but each can back up the other. All the water to the house is through a three-stage filtration system (sediment, 10 micron carbon block, and ultra violet light). " There are two tankless water heaters. And there are two 250 Gal Liquid Propane Tanks (one for the pool heater and the other for the house).
